So, I went to the doctor last night and it looks like we have a girl. The doctor said it's harder to tell for sure with girls because you are looking for the absence of something, but she got a pretty good shot and so far it looks like a girl. I'm going with that. I have my targeted ultrasound in 4 weeks where it's longer and they look at every part of the body in greater detail. So, until then I don't know if I'll be convinced it's a girl, but I'm feeling pretty good that it is. We could tell by 16 weeks that Nathan and Aaron were definitely boys, so at 18 weeks, I'm feeling about 80% sure it's a girl :). I'm going shopping, but saving the receipts like my good friend Sara suggested.

Busy week
Last week we did a few "spring" things. I made some more jam because we are finally down to our last container. I made jam 3 years ago, so it lasted awhile. I didn't make such a big batch this time. Of course, Nathan wanted to help, so here he is stirring away. He was pretty serious about it. I did get him to look up and smile for one picture, though.
On Saturday we started our spring cleaning. We are taking it room by room and started with the kitchen. We pulled the table and chairs into the living room to clean while Ryan dusted on top of the shelves in the kitchen. The little guys helped for about 30 minutes, and then they got to go downstairs and watch a movie while Ryan and I finished up. They were cute, if not incredibly efficient, little helpers.
This is just a darling picture of Nathan before church on Sunday. We went through his clothes last week and pulled out spring/summer clothes and bigger sizes and he saw his tie that he hasn't worn for a few months. He decided he wanted to wear it to church on Sunday. He looked so handsome.
Nathan likes to go to church, but he still isn't sure about Primary. He's fine and will stay once we leave, but his teacher has to hold him on his lap when we leave or he'll follow us out. After primary when we pick him up, he says he liked it, tells us what he did, shows us what he colored, but he never wants to go back. I hope he grows out of it. He is a good little guy, though, and likes to take his scriptures to church - wants to be just like mom and dad. Maybe that's why he wants to come to our class and not his...:)
Aaron is enjoying nursery. Whenever we drop him off, we make sure he has found the cars and the car ramp and then sneak out the door. He loves the bubbles they blow at the end, but is always thrilled to see us when we go pick him up. He makes sure he tells his teacher, "Ze Mom!" Then once I have him, he asks me, "Dad?" and "Na-Na?" What a delight he is!

Out with the old, In with the new
We bought a new van a couple of weeks ago! We are very excited about it, but we had to sell Ryan's good, old trusty Escort. It was a good little car. We don't need the van until September, but the little Escort probably wouldn't have passed inspection in May without putting a lot of money into it, so we decided that since we would be getting a new car anyway, now was a good time.
We got a Toyota Sienna. We really like it. It's taking me a little time to get used to. I miss my Honda. I love that car. I still drive it when I go to Young Women's or errands at night without the boys, though, so that's good. The van has lots of room and the little guys love it because they can see more out of the windows.

Easter Fun 2009
We had a fun Easter this year. Both Nathan and Aaron enjoyed the Easter Egg hunts they had (4 of them) and got way too much candy for their own good or ours. They were invited to a neighbor's house on Saturday for an unplanned hunt and then we went to one Saturday afternoon at the hospital. At the hospital, they had an Easter bunny there. Last year, Nathan was scared of him, but this year he went right up to him and gave him a hug. Aaron just laughed and gave him a high five. There was a lot of candy spread out all over the grass. Aaron was enthralled with each little piece that he picked up. Both of them could hardly wait to dig into their candy and see what they got.
Grandma and Grandpa Hillstead were spending a little time with us and so they got to participate in some of the Easter fun. They came with us to the hospital Easter Egg hunt and helped us color eggs.
On Sunday, the boys got all dressed in their new Easter vests from Grandma & Grandpa Taylor. They looked really handsome. I had a hard time getting them to look at the camera at the same time, but this is a pretty cute picture. Nathan got to give his very first talk in Primary. He was a little shy at first, but did a very good job. We had practiced a few times during the week. I would start the sentence to prompt him and then he would say the whole sentence. He felt good about it afterward. It's fun to see him getting bigger and having experiences like that.
After church, lunch, and naps, and waiting for Dad to get home, we hid some eggs around and in our house and let the boys find them. They were both delighted as they searched for the eggs and put them in their buckets. This time they were more interested in finding them than the candy inside.

Nathan was enjoyed it so much that after all the eggs had been found, he hid his own eggs so he could do it again. He found them pretty quickly the second time :)! Aaron got a boost from Dad to get an egg he spotted in the tree.

What the boys like
Nathan and Aaron are always doing cute things that fit completely with their personalities. They both like to read stories and play basketball. In the second picture you can't see the basketball hoop, but we had brought it upstairs and they were both shooting baskets from the piano bench. Aaron has good follow-through form. It reminds me a lot of Nathan when he was his age and just starting to like to shoot baskets.
Here are the little guys doing things uniquely them. Aaron loves his "B" as he calls his favorite blanket. He likes to put it over his head and roll around on the floor in it. It's pretty funny, except for last week when he was near the stairs and managed to roll all the way down. He didn't like that too much and neither did we.
Nathan loves to be outside and will get out any chance he gets. He couldn't get his shoes on and so found his boots that he knows how to pull on all by himself and headed outside to play baseball.
