Getting Ready for March Madness

Nathan is ready for March Madness! He was listening to "One Shining Moment" on Ryan's iPod and it got him all ready for basketball.

Ryan put up a little basketball hoop we have on the door of the hall pantry and he and Nathan had a great time shooting and making shots. Nathan LOVES it! He says "ba-ba" and points up. Sometimes he tries to shoot from where he his, but they never go high enough and sometimes he wants you to pick him up so he can dunk it. He's very cute. In fact, as I'm writing this he's trying to get me to come out and lift him up so he can shoot!

Nathan's latest

I haven't posted anything for awhile, so I just thought I'd show you some of Nathan's latest pictures. He is growing up and becoming quite a little boy. He is so kind and loveable. He loves to give kisses and sometimes will just wrap his arms around my neck and give me a big smack on the cheek for no reason.

Family Gathering

On Sunday, January 21, we all went to Grandma & Grandpa Pendleton's apartment in Salt Lake. We celebrated Grandma's birthday and had a family home evening together. Grandpa talked about missionary work and gave each of the grandsons a "Future Missionary" tag. We had a great time together and Nathan gave kisses to everyone. We also got some pictures of the great-grandsons and a 4-generation picture. We love to spend time with family and are so grateful for the relationships we have.

Games Nathan Plays

Nathan is really starting to grow into a little boy. Here are a few of his favorite games to play lately:

Hide & Seek

Nathan hides behind the couch or goes into a room and shuts the door part-way and then comes out very proud of himself.

Blocks

He also likes to play with his blocks. He stacks them just a little, but mostly enjoys knocking down the towers that Mom & Dad build.

Bubbles

We went to story time at our library and it happened to be the last day for the story time lady. She gave all of the kids a package of goodies. Inside were some candy and bubbles. The bubbles have been an instant hit. Nathan tries to blow, but can't quite make bubbles yet. He loves to watch them come down, though.

Throwing things downstairs

We have a gate up, but Nathan has learned how to throw things over the gate downstairs. He thinks it's pretty funny. He throws blocks, balls, farm animal figures, spoons, pretty much anything.

Playing the Piano

Nathan likes to sit and play the piano. He plays a few notes and then he turns the page on the hymnbook or the primary songbook and plays a little more. It's very cute to watch. Maybe he'll like practicing the piano. Wouldn't that be great?!
