Harvest Time

We went to Lyman this past weekend and helped Grandma and Grandpa with the "harvest." They have a nice garden and the boys picked potatoes, carrots, and onions. They also have a small apple tree. Some of the apples had fallen on the ground, so the boys each had a job to do. Aaron's was to throw the apples in the bucket (with mom's help), and Nathan helped pick the potatoes and carrots. We also cut down all of the perennials before winter. We all had such a fun time. It was a beautiful fall day and we really enjoyed working together, talking, and playing.

Nathan took time to cook a little something for us while we finished up outside. It's so fun to see his imagination start and how cute he is when he is pretending.

We had a little time for fun and games as well. Nathan and Aaron always love a lawnmower and balls, so they played a bit while we were outside. Once we went inside, they had fun with the pool table. Aaron got banned once he started throwing the balls, but he begged the rest of the weekend to play. Once he's older he'll really enjoy it!

One of my favorite moments of the weekend is the cute picture of Nathan and Aaron holding hands below. Nathan came around the corner and told me that he was holding Aaron's hand while they were walking so he didn't fall. Aaron was loving it. He was smiling at Nathan and Nathan was being so good to him. They are good little brothers and love each other very much.

One thing that I really enjoyed doing was making cards. I was able to make some holiday cards, birthday cards, thank-you cards, and some all-purpose cards. Mom has a fun embossing tool and we had a fun time working together and making the cards. Now I'm excited to send them. Here are some pictures of some of them. It's hard to see the embossing, but they are really cute.

The Pumpkin Patch II

Last night we went up to our local produce place and visited the Pumpkin Patch. The boys LOVED walking around and looking at the pumpkins. They both played the bean bag toss game and wandered around looking at the pumpkins. It was pretty cold, so we didn't stay too long, but it was a lot of fun. Last year Aaron was just a month old so it was cute to see him enjoying it so much. He kept trying to sit on the pumpkins. Nathan would have been happy to throw bean bags all night. Luckily, there weren't a lot of kids at that one, so he could throw to heart's content. We did have to drag him away to pick a pumpkin. He wanted to pick a little pumpkin to throw because last year they had little pumpkin bean bags to throw, but we convinced him to just pick a cute little pumpkin to take home, so he did.

First Snow

Sunday we had our first snowfall of the year. Nathan was so excited Sunday morning to see it and wanted to go out and play. It was still snowing and we told him that it was too cold. After church he couldn't wait any longer and got outside before we could even get his clothes completely changed. Then he realized that it was a little cold and let us get him in his snow pants and coat. He had fun making snow balls and stomping around in the snow.

Little Boys

These are some fun pictures of the last three weeks, since I have been a slacker about posting anything. Nathan and Aaron love to read stories. At bedtime, Ryan reads them stories. Up until recently it has just been Nathan that would sit on Dad's lap and listen. Aaron would just kind of wander around during story time, but now he wants to be up on Dad's lap reading, too. He loves books. He will go into his room or Nathan's room, pull a book off the shelf and sit down and turn pages. He especially likes Curious George books, just like Nathan.

Aaron also loves his stuffed bear and stuffed puppy. He gives them loves and squeezes tight. He is a sweet little muffin and gives Mom, Dad, and Nathan hugs a lot, too.

Nathan and Aaron play well together and are getting better at not hurting one another. I love walking into the room and watching them laugh and play together. Sometimes they are just in the same room doing different things and sometimes they are playing together. It makes me glad I have two cute little guys and that they have each other. Even when Nathan has to go in time-out for hurting Aaron, Aaron wants to be with him. He gets upset when Nathan isn't there and they both are always anxious for the other one to wake up from his nap.

Riding the 4-Wheeler

Both Nathan and Aaron have enjoyed riding this cute little 4-wheeler recently. Aaron feels so proud of himself. He can get on and off and make it go. He doesn't steer so well, so when he runs into a wall he just hops off, pushes it back a few feet and gets on and goes again.
