Coming Home

We came home from the hospital on Friday (September 7) afternoon. It was soooo nice to be in our home with our new little boy. Aaron is a good little baby and sleeps a lot. He rarely fusses and has a very sweet disposition. Nathan still loves him a ton and wants to be close to him and mom as much as he can. It will be fun to see these little boys as they grow up together.

Grandma Hillstead came down on Sunday afternoon to help out for the week. It was so nice to have her here. She helped out so much and we appreciate all she did. Nathan sure enjoyed having her around and it helped with the transition of not having all of the attention. He and Grandma played together and he especially liked blowing bubbles on the porch nearly every day.

There are a variety of pictures here - Aaron sleeping (he does that a lot), Nathan holding Aaron and giving him kisses, Nathan blowing bubbles, and Aaron in his duck robe after his first bath at home.

I think Aaron looks like Ryan, but he changes every day so we'll see as he gets older. We all think he is adorable and so fun to hold and cuddle.

PIctures of Aaron

Aaron Hillstead Taylor was born on Tuesday, September 4 at 8:01 am. He was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 19 inches long. He had a lot of dark hair when he was born and was a gem from the beginning!

Grandma and Grandpa Hillstead came down on Monday and stayed the night and took care of Nathan while Ryan and I went to the hospital at 5:30 am. Then they came up after Aaron was born to see the baby.

Nathan was very good when he came to the hospital each day and wanted to "hold baby" and "kiss baby." He loves his little brother - sometimes a little too much, but it's so cute to see.

Here are a few pictures taken while we were at the hospital.

A Little Challenge

I think Nathan likes a little bit of a challenge. One day when he was eating his oatmeal, I had the spatula out and he decided that he wanted to try and eat with that instead of a spoon. He wasn't too successful, but he tried.

Then a few days ago we were downstairs shooting baskets and he pulled the baby's tub over and sat in it while he shot. I don't know how he thinks of these things, but there's always something going on in that little mind!
