Comfort Items

Nathan has been a little sick this past week. He is finally starting to feel better and back to his happy self. While he was sick there were a few things that made him feel better - remote controls, baths in the big tub, spoons, bananas and Mom & Dad.

Nathan loves the remote - he points it at the TV and knows how to turn it off now. He thinks it's pretty cool, but sometimes it takes us a little to figure out which button he has pushed and get it back to normal. He also likes the remote for the stereo. He knows which buttons turns it on and off. It's cute to see him point it and then get excited when he makes it turn on of off.

Nathan takes baths in the big tub now. He loves to watch the water come out of the spout and splashes a lot.

Nathan loves his daddy and his spoons. He wasn't feeling great this day, but he had his spoons (there are usually more than one - today he had seven at once in his hands) and he was sitting in daddy's lap, so it wasn't too bad.

We go through a lot of bananas. Nathan now likes to eat them like a monkey- just pull the peel back and chomp away :).

Nathan and Kyle

Kyle and Nathan get along so well together. Here they are at our house. They are cute to watch together and Nathan sures loves his cousin Kyle.

Christmas

On the Saturday before Christmas, we went down and visited David & Kara and their family. They had a houseful, but we enjoyed being able to visit with them for a couple of hours. Nathan quite liked David's dall sheep. He thought the horns were pretty cool.

Nathan got some fun things in his stocking. He loves bananas so instead of the more traditional orange, Santa knew what he wanted and dropped a banana in his stocking. He also got some books and a phone. He was on an important call while we were taking these pictures. He also tried on Dad's new shoes - just a little big, but we can get his feet in them unlike most every other pair of shoes! (Notice the spoon in his hand - you will usually see him with one or more spoons in his hand at all times. His dad carried around a cloth diaper, Nathan has opted for a spoon.)

Nathan got better at opening presents the more he opened, but he still needed a little assist from Dad on this one. He got a Little People Farm from Grandma and Grandpa Taylor and loves to play with it. He knows where the pig and cow are and he likes to put everything down the silo.

After Christmas we went down to Provo to visit with Travis and Kayelynn Guptill and their boys. They were in from Oregon and we had a nice visit with them.
